Rosina here. Welcome to the new week and happy Monday!
How was your Sunday? I hope you had a good one and got to do something uplifting.
My new deaf friends were at church on Sunday, but I didn\’t know it until the meeting was over so I didn\’t interpret. But they asked me to interpret when they come again November 13th. The weeks in between they plan to go to the ward they live in or the deaf branch in Riverside.
I did get to spend some time and get to know better their hearing friend who first reached out to me.
I also spent some time on family history and was doing some thinking about it. One thought that occurred to me was that if I\’m going to be helping people with their family history, maybe I should think about writing some of my own personal history.
That lead me to create a new category on my blog for my life history and decided to write a bit about my history every week or so. You may have seen the posts about it on my blog. If not, here\’s the link.
Most of these will be short posts. I won\’t try to write huge stories all at once, the thought is to keep it doable in a short time each Sunday by writing short bits.
I sat down to write a list of topics I might write on and quickly my list grew to 25 or 30 topics, lol. So, I\’ll be kept busy for quite a long time and I\’m sure I\’ll add to it as I think about more things.
Finally, a friend from church came over, my ministering brother, to help me put some bags of yard waste, that the trash guys had not included in their yard waste pickup last week for some reason, into the trash can for my trash pickup on Monday (today).
Since my trash day is on Monday and he hadn\’t been able to come over earlier we had to do it even though it was Sunday. We ended up spending some time cleaning up most of the weeds in the front yard and adding that to the trash can. Luckily, it only took about an hour.
He took a couple of the bags to put in his own cans and my friendly neighbor put some in his cans, so all the bags are gone though I expected it to take a few weeks to get it all.
It was a busy Sunday wasn\’t it!
Really all of that only took until about 2pm, so I had plenty of time to relax and do some other uplifting stuff like reading the scriptures, and spending some time with my animals.
So what am I thinking about today?
I have been exploring the concept of a customer avatar lately, especially since the Your First Funnel Challenge brought it up again.
I first learned about customer avatars when I read Russell Brunson\’s book Expert Secrets (at least I think it was that one, it may be in DotCom Secrets).
A customer avatar is a representation of the person you are most interested in serving.
Your avatar has a name and a description.
What age are they? Are they single or married? Do they have a family? What do they like? What do they dislike? What are their goals in life?
These are all questions you should be able to answer in their description.
They should become a real person to you and someone you refer to frequently in your business decisions.
I haven\’t done a really good job of creating my own business\’s customer avatar. I have some thoughts about it, but I haven\’t really sat down and created this person. Something I really should do so I make good business decisions and focus on serving that person.
Do you have a customer avatar for your business? If not, you might think about spending some time to create one. Truly successful businesses have one, they don\’t just try to serve everyone.
I don\’t have any products for you today. I have been so focused on creating that I didn\’t take time to look at many products.
I do have one for tomorrow that I have been looking at for a couple weeks. But it doesn\’t launch until tomorrow, so look forward to it then.
I\’ll have to spend some time researching some products for you!
Until tomorrow…
To your success!
