In Moses 1:4,6, Moses learns who he really is, a child of God. Satan later comes in Moses 1:12 and tries to temp Moses, calling him a son of man. Moses, stays strong and tells Satan that he would not worship him and to go away because Moses knew whoe he was, a child of God.

Oh what we can learn from this. Our true identity is that we are a child of God also and He loves us infinitely and wants the very best from us. He wants us to succeed, he wants us to gain the Celestial Kingdom.

In the video in Come Follow Me, Elder Uchtdorf retells the story of The Ugly Duckling by Hans Christian Anderson. What a beautiful story it is, too. The ugly duckling, teased and abused by his siblings, leaves the family and eventually follows a group of beautiful birds in flight. He lands and enters the water and there he looks in the water and learns that he is actually a beautiful swan. We too, can “look in the water”, and see what God sees in us, that we too are beautiful swans and have the greatest potential.
