Elder D. Todd Christofferson, “Steps to Happiness,” Liahona, Sept. 2013, 47.
“[Commandments] are like a flight of stairs. Each step may represent one commandment, and with each commandment that we obey, we can move upward. Then, if we understand the essence of the commandments, we want more.
Commandments really do help us, they don\’t limit us. They are given to us by a loving Heavenly Father who wants to see us progress.
Gratitude
I am grateful for Brother Greg Gibbons who came over to help me with my light fixture today. Now I just need to find the replacement bulb (a weird one) and he\’ll come over again to put it back in for me.
What Did I Do Great Today…
- I went to church today.
- I organized some stuff in my kitchen.
- I took the trash can out to the street so it can be picked up tomorrow.
Random Thoughts
Two of the sisters in my ward told me I have a beautiful voice today. It\’s nice to hear especially since I know I am having more trouble hitting the high notes anymore, but it\’s nice to hear that someone thinks I sing well.
Kaidin got overly excited when Brother Gibbons and his kids came over today. He wasn\’t usually as bad as he\’s been with people coming to visit as he has been since we moved. Maybe it\’s because he doesn\’t get to get out and run anymore. The yard is big enough for him to run but he doesn\’t like the stickers and I don\’t blame him. I\’ll have to see what I can do to get him to settle down when people come over.
