Exodus 17:6

Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt asmite the brock, and there shall come cwater out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

The symbolism here is very deep. The rock can be seen as Christ on which we can build a sure foundation. The water can also symbolize Christ and the living water he gives us so that we never thirst.

Gratitude

I am grateful today for the wonderful friends that I know in the Oak Hills Ward and the time I got to spend with them.

What Did I Do Great Today…

  • Attended the Arrowhead Ward and met more of the great members there.
  • Attended the Oak Hills Ward and saw my friends and said my goodbyes though I\’ll still see them at stake conferences and other stake events.
  • Got my internet set up at home.

Random Thoughts

It was so good to see my friends in the Oak Hills Ward. It was interesting to hear how Jaina Ericson heard about me before I came back to activity and remembered me because I had a beautiful name, so when I did come back she wanted to meet me. And she did. She invited me to sit with her family so I didn\’t have to sit alone and I have most Sundays ever since. She and her family have been wonderful friends to me. Jaina brings me bags of presents very regularly and especially on holidays and she brought one for easter for me today. She said she\’s really seen a change in me from the time I first came back.

The ward had a linger longer and everyone was to bring something to eat and something to share. I didn\’t have anything I could take with me so I hoped I could just share what people brought. Jaina brought me a sandwich knowing I might not have anything. Wonderful of her.

I have so many other friends in the ward too so it was good to see them and to visit with them.
