I was reading today in Moses:
Say unto this people: Choose ye this day, to serve the Lord God who made you.
This brought immediately to my mind the verse in Joshua:
Choose you this day whom ye will serve… but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
In the first, the Lord is talking to Enoch, whom he was calling as a prophet. But the message was ultimately to the people.
In the second, Joshua is talking to the people.
Ultimately, it is the same message to each of us, which admittedly we hear over and over again: Choose who you will serve. We are here to choose and we each must choose. Will we follow the Lord, and do the things he asks of us?
