I was reading Elder Kevin G. Brown’s talk today and one part really hit me:

I invite you to think about your path to a sure witness of Jesus Christ and His gospel. Take charge of your testimony… No one can choose for you. No one can take that gift away. You can choose to believe.

Elder Kevin G. Brown of the Seventy, October 2025 General Conference

That is so true and I love it.

I was talking to my therapist a few weeks ago, and we were talking about things of a spiritual nature and how they are mostly missing in our world these days. I shared with him things I know to be true, things about life in the spirit world and what will happen after this earth life and how we lived before coming to this earth.

He was impressed by how firm I was in my knowledge of them. He talked about how most people including him can only guess at what happens after this life if we live at all and have at best some murky idea of what life was like before this earth, if there was any at all.

But I have taken time to develop my testimony of them. I know they are true. And I choose to believe. I choose to have my testimony of them. They are so basic and so simple.

And when you choose to believe, you keep your testimony strong.

I hope my therapist learned something about the Plan of Salvation in our talk that day that helps him.
