This day has been a tough day.

I got up… well I didn’t want to and my cat gave me plenty of excuses to stay in bed. But eventually I did kick him out from under the covers and got up.

I went through the normal morning routine – prayer, meds, feed the dog, get breakfast, etc.

Then I sat down to eat breakfast – when I normally read the email. I just couldn’t concentrate on it.

I did eventually get through the mail, finishing just before my therapist called me – on a good day, I could have read the mail and started working on something for at least an hour before my therapy appointment which just happened to be today.

After my therapy appointment, I had to go take my recycling receipt to get scanned for Medical, so I can stay eligible for Medical. I delayed and delayed, but I finally went.

Next I had to pick up food from the Bishop’s Storehouse (kinda like a food bank). Because I had delayed earlier, I was later than usual and was one of the last people to get there. I picked up my order and one for another family.

I dropped off the other family’s food at their house and went home. Brought the food in the house and put it away.

Then phew I sat down with hopes (not plans, but hopes) about doing some developing of something… yeah, those hopes didn’t turn out much. I tried, but I just couldn’t do anything.

I was freezing, that didn’t help, and even the space heater didn’t warm me up that much.

My cat curled up under the blanket with me (he was probably cold too). And I just watched TV.

I just couldn’t program anything, no matter how hard I tried. Last week, I was developing like there was no tomorrow – even yesterday I did pretty good.

I’m about half way between ECTs and the depression usually isn’t raising it’s ugly head this bad at this point.

Tonight, I’m managing to write this. And I have a couple more hours before I usually go to bed. Maybe I can do something, but I’m not feeling it.

Days like this are frustrating… but this is life with depression.
